Section your hair into 3-4 parts depending on thickness, securing each with clips to ensure thorough coverage.
The Bitter Chocolate shade is formulated to deliver a deeper brown tone with a soft, richer finish rather than a harsh, flat colour result. However, because this is a plant-based tint rather than a chemical dye, the final colour depends heavily on your starting hair colour, its porosity, and how long you leave the cream on.
Bleached, heavily highlighted, or naturally very light hair requires extra caution with plant-based tints like this cream. Henna molecules are large and deposit on the hair surface rather than penetrating deeply, which means they can react unpredictably with the altered protein structure of chemically processed hair. This often results in warmer, more orange or coppery tones rather than the intended chocolate brown.
