According to the card, orotic acid is the “unique active component” of the “Gerontol” cream, alongside olive and vegetable oil, beeswax and lanolin. The claims that it normalises protein synthesis, reduces expression lines and stimulates the skin's own hyaluronic acid have no confirmation. The card does not give the amount of the acid in the cream.
