Luchix Shark Oil and Calendula Face Mask for Acne-Prone Skin 10ml is a cosmetic single-use intensive care face mask from the Luchix range (Russia), formulated with shark oil (squalene) and calendula extract (Calendula officinalis), together with essential oils, as the principal cosmetic actives for the external care of oily, blemish-prone or acne-tendency skin. Shark oil (squalene) provides emollient skin conditioning and nourishment without clogging pores, helping to maintain the skin's surface barrier and moisture. Calendula (Calendula officinalis) extract is one of the most widely used traditional botanical ingredients in topical skin care cosmetics for sensitive and reactive skin, known for its gentle soothing, conditioning and skin-calming properties on the skin surface. The essential oil complex contributes aromatic and skin-conditioning properties. The mask formula cleanses and purifies the pore surface, soothes the appearance of skin redness, and contributes to a balanced, mattified and smoother-looking skin appearance, improving the cosmetic condition of the skin with regular use. 10 ml. Open the sachet and unfold the mask. Apply it to freshly cleansed, dry skin, smoothing it over the face while avoiding the eye and lip area. Leave it on for 15–20 minutes; the mask is soaked in a light emulsion, so it will not dry down to a tight film. After removing the sheet, gently pat the remaining essence into the skin — no need to rinse unless you prefer a completely residue-free finish. Follow with your usual moisturiser if the skin feels it needs more hydration.
Oily skin often becomes dehydrated when harsh cleansers or alcohol-based toners strip the barrier, prompting the sebaceous glands to produce even more oil. This mask is formulated to interrupt that cycle. The squalene derived from shark oil is a lipid naturally found in human sebum; it absorbs quickly and helps restore the skin’s surface lipids without adding occlusive weight. Meanwhile, the essential oil blend provides a purifying effect on the T-zone and areas where pores look enlarged, and calendula extract soothes the redness that often accompanies dehydration-induced irritation.
The formula includes two components that commonly cause sensitivity: calendula extract and an essential oil blend. Calendula belongs to the Asteraceae (daisy) family; if you have known allergies to chamomile, ragweed, marigold, or other plants in this family, you should avoid this product. The essential oil blend, while included for purifying and conditioning properties, introduces volatile aromatic compounds that can irritate reactive skin, especially if the barrier is already compromised.
This mask delivers a concentrated dose of botanical actives (essential oils, calendula) plus barrier-supportive squalene.
