This mask delivers a concentrated dose of botanical actives (essential oils, calendula) plus barrier-supportive squalene. While not an exfoliant itself, it can feel stimulating on freshly exfoliated skin. If your routine includes leave-on AHAs (glycolic, lactic), BHAs (salicylic acid), retinoids, or high-percentage vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid), apply the mask on a “recovery” night when you are not using those actives. For example, if you use retinol on Monday/Wednesday/Friday, schedule the mask for Tuesday or Saturday.
If you prefer to use them on the same day, apply the active in the morning and the mask in the evening (or vice versa), ensuring at least 12 hours between applications and a thorough cleanse in between. Always follow the mask with a simple, fragrance-free moisturiser to lock in the squalene’s conditioning effect. Avoid layering other essential-oil-rich products or strong astringents immediately after the mask. If you experience persistent redness, scaling, or a “sandpaper” texture, reduce frequency of both the mask and your actives until the barrier recovers. This product is not a substitute for prescribed acne treatments; it is a supplementary care step for occasional use.
