Vitamir Dihydroquercetin (Taxifolin) dietary supplement 50 tablets from Vitamir (Russia) is a supplementary dietary source of dihydroquercetin (taxifolin) — a polyphenol flavonoid compound extracted from Siberian larch (Larix sibirica) wood. Dihydroquercetin (3,3',4',5,7-pentahydroxyflavanone, also known as taxifolin) is a natural plant bioflavonoid that belongs to the flavanonol class of flavonoids. It is found naturally in many plants, with particularly high concentrations in Siberian larch heartwood, from which it is commercially extracted. As a polyphenol flavonoid, dihydroquercetin has been studied for its antioxidant activity in cell-free systems — it has a high radical-scavenging capacity in vitro. The Vitamir formula provides dihydroquercetin together with inulin (from Jerusalem artichoke, used as a prebiotic carrier) in tablet form. Each round, beige-coloured tablet has a slight specific aroma and taste characteristic of the flavonoid complex. Suitable for adults as a supplementary source of dihydroquercetin and inulin. Not a medicinal product.
