Sage Lozenges N20 are a dietary food supplement in lozenge format (20 lozenges), combining sage extract and sage essential oil (Salvia officinalis) with marshmallow root extract (Althaea officinalis), plantain extract (Plantago), chlorophyll and vitamin C, used as a botanical supplement providing a source of menthol and tannins and as a supplementary source of vitamin C. Sage (Salvia officinalis) is one of the most widely used medicinal herbs in European traditional use, featuring aromatic volatile compounds including camphor, 1,8-cineole (eucalyptol) and thujone, as well as rosmarinic acid and other polyphenols; the essential oil and extract are valued in dietary supplement preparations for their aromatic and botanical properties. Marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis) is a traditional mucilaginous botanical. Plantain (Plantago) provides flavonoids and phenolic acids. Chlorophyll contributes a natural green colour.
