Bacopa monnieri has been used in the Ayurvedic system of medicine for over three thousand years, primarily as a cognitive tonic. The principal bioactive constituents of Bacopa monnieri are dammarane-type triterpenoid saponins known as bacosides, comprising primarily bacoside A (which includes bacosaponins A, B and C) and bacoside B, along with bacosides A1, A2, A3 and several other minor saconosides. Each 2-capsule serving provides 1000 mg of standardised Bacopa monnieri extract containing 10% bacosides (100 mg bacosides). The capsule shell is made from hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC), making this a fully vegetarian/vegan formulation. N60 capsules (30 servings).
