Used for prophylactic and therapeutic purposes in all situations requiring additional vitamin C intake. Prescribed for the prevention and treatment of scurvy, in cases of bleeding (nasal, pulmonary, uterine, radiation-induced), hemorrhagic diatheses, intoxications, infectious diseases, nephropathy in pregnant women, Addison’s disease, anticoagulant overdose, bone fractures, slow-healing wounds, dystrophies, increased mental stress, and intense physical labor.

Dosage and Administration
For prophylaxis:
Adults: 50–100 mg per day.
During pregnancy, postpartum, and with low vitamin C content in breast milk: 300 mg per day for 10–15 days, then 100 mg per day throughout lactation.
