Amla Gold Oil for weakened and split hair with almond and henna.
Dabur Amla Gold is an improved product based on the classic Dabur Amla hair oil. Amla (Indian gooseberry) is considered the most effective remedy for hair treatment and strengthening in India.
Amla oil for hair accelerates their growth, reduces hair loss, and prevents premature graying. It is ideal for split, weak, and damaged hair due to chemical treatments or coloring.
Amla (Indian gooseberry) is a rich source of vitamin C, strengthens the roots, and nourishes hair along their entire length.
Almond moisturizes and softens the hair.
Henna protects the hair, enhances color, and adds shine.
Directions for use: Apply Dabur Amla Gold hair oil to clean, wet hair, thoroughly massaging it into the scalp. Leave it on for a minimum of one hour, a maximum of overnight. Rinse thoroughly with shampoo. For subsequent use, you can add 2-3 drops to your shampoo. Recommended usage is twice a week.
Ingredients: Paraffinum Liquidum, Canola oil, Elaeis guineensis oil, Phyllanthus emblica Lawsonia inermis extract (Amla), perfume, Prunus amygdalus dulcis oil, Phenyl Trimethicone, Avobenzone, Rosmarinus officinalis, BHT, Cl 61565, Cl 12740, Cl 12150.
What This Oil Is For
Dabur Amla Gold hair oil is a nourishing hair oil for weakened, dry and split-prone hair, especially when strands feel rough after colouring, heat styling or frequent washing. People usually choose this type of product when hair looks dull, tangles easily and needs more smoothness and shine without relying only on conditioner.
Key Ingredients and Their Role
The idea behind this formula comes from the long Indian tradition of using amla, also called Indian gooseberry, in hair masks and scalp oils. Oils help by coating the hair shaft with a light protective layer, so moisture is lost more slowly and the surface feels smoother. This can make hair easier to comb and less prone to breakage from friction.
- Amla (Indian gooseberry) — traditionally valued in hair cosmetics for strengthening the look and feel of the lengths and roots.
- Almond oil — helps soften coarse, dry strands.
- Henna extract — helps hair look glossier and can make the colour appear richer, especially on dark hair tones.
Who It Suits and How to Use It
This oil combines classic herbal inspiration with an oil-based format that sits on the hair long enough to condition it well. It is best suited to those whose hair:
- feels brittle at the ends or lacks shine
- becomes fluffy in humid weather
- is damaged from bleaching or splits easily
- is thick and hard to manage
It fits well as a leave-on pre-wash treatment before shampooing for a deeper nourishing step, or in a very small amount mixed into shampoo for a softer finish. Used regularly, a hair oil like this may help the hair look smoother, more supple and less stressed by styling.
Important Notes
- If your scalp is sensitive or easily irritated, pay attention to how it responds to fragranced products.
- If your hair is very fine, start with a smaller amount to avoid heaviness.
- External use only. Patch testing is a sensible step before first use.

Customer Questions
For dry, rough or split-prone hair, the most effective way to use this oil is as a pre-wash treatment. Apply it to dry hair, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends where strands tend to be most brittle. Leave it on for 20–30 minutes (or longer if your hair is very dry) before shampooing. Because the oil sits on the hair shaft, it gives the strands time to absorb the nourishing ingredients before the shampoo removes excess oil.
Because Dabur Amla Gold is an oil-based product, it can feel heavy on very fine hair if you use too much. The key is to start with a small amount – one or two drops – and apply it only to the lower half of your hair, never directly to the scalp. Rub the oil between your palms first, then gently press or smooth it over the ends. This gives you control over how much product actually touches your hair.
Coloured and bleached hair often feels rough, tangles easily, and loses shine because the cuticle is more exposed after chemical processing. Dabur Amla Gold is designed for exactly this kind of weakened, dry hair. The oil coats the hair shaft with a light protective layer, which helps moisture escape more slowly and makes the surface feel smoother. That can make combing easier and reduce friction-related breakage.
Amla, also called Indian gooseberry, is a fruit long used in Indian hair care traditions. In cosmetics, it is valued for its potential to support the look and feel of hair – both the lengths and the roots. It does not “repair” hair in a medical sense, because hair is not living tissue. Instead, ingredients like amla are included in oil formulas to help hair appear smoother, more supple, and less stressed by styling.
