Is this oil suitable for coloured or bleached hair?

Coloured and bleached hair often feels rough, tangles easily, and loses shine because the cuticle is more exposed after chemical processing. Dabur Amla Gold is designed for exactly this kind of weakened, dry hair. The oil coats the hair shaft with a light protective layer, which helps moisture escape more slowly and makes the surface feel smoother. That can make combing easier and reduce friction-related breakage.

The formula includes henna extract, which is traditionally used in hair cosmetics to add gloss and can make the colour appear richer, especially on dark hair tones. On bleached or very light hair, henna extract may add a subtle warm tint, so if you are concerned about changing your colour, do a strand test on a hidden section first. The oil itself does not contain dyes, but any pigmented botanical extract can leave a slight tone on very porous hair.

For coloured hair, the safest approach is to use the oil as a pre-wash treatment rather than a leave-in. Apply it 20–30 minutes before shampooing, then rinse thoroughly. This gives the hair the nourishing benefit without leaving a residue that could dull the colour or weigh down fine strands. If you use heat styling, apply only a tiny amount to dry ends before styling – but remember that oil heats up quickly, so never use so much that the hair looks wet.

This product is a cosmetic hair care item, not a treatment for scalp conditions or hair loss. If you have an irritated scalp or an allergic reaction to fragranced products, stop use and consult a specialist.
