Sea buckthorn berry oil (Hippophae rhamnoides) is one of the richest plant sources of tocopherols (vitamin E), carotenoids and the rare palmitoleic acid (omega-7 fatty acid), providing intense lipid nourishment to severely dehydrated and cracked skin. Coconut oil provides a lauric-acid-dominant emollient base. Olive oil and its polyphenol-rich leaf extract (Olea europaea) provide oleic acid conditioning and antioxidant support. Licorice root extract (Glycyrrhiza glabra) provides glycyrrhizin and glycyrrhizinic acid for soothing and skin-conditioning action. Hydrolysed elastin and hydrolysed keratin provide direct structural protein conditioning of the skin surface.
