This Wrist Support with Stiffeners (model 552, Size 2) is an orthopedic brace designed to fix and stabilise the wrist joint, carpal bones, and the distal third of the forearm. The brace limits the range of excessive flexion, extension, and lateral wrist movements, reducing mechanical stress on the joint structures, tendons, and ligaments of the wrist and hand.
The brace is well suited for use during early rehabilitation following cast removal after wrist immobilisation, during recovery from wrist sprains or minor injuries, and as a prophylactic support during repetitive manual work or sports activities that place strain on the wrist. The Velcro (hook-and-loop) fastening allows easy, stepless adjustment of compression level and a secure fit to individual wrist size. Rigid stiffening inserts provide the structural stabilisation needed without preventing all functional hand use. The soft inner lining ensures comfortable wear throughout the day. Size 2 is suited to smaller or medium wrist circumferences — see sizing guide on packaging.
SIZE: Size 2 — see sizing guide on packaging for corresponding wrist measurements.
MATERIAL: Elastic textile, rigid stiffening inserts, Velcro closure. See packaging for full material details.
USE: Put on the brace per the fitting instructions on the packaging. Adjust Velcro straps for a firm, comfortable fit. Wear during activities requiring wrist support. Remove at rest.
CONTRAINDICATIONS / WARNINGS: Do not use in the presence of open wounds or dermatological conditions in the brace area. Discontinue if numbness or increased discomfort occurs. Consult a healthcare professional before use for diagnosed conditions. Keep out of reach of children.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature in a dry place.

What the product is
Fosta Wrist Support with Stiffeners, universal size 2 is an orthopedic wrist brace for moments when the joint needs firmer guidance and less excess movement. People usually choose this type of bandage after a strain, at the early stage of recovery after immobilisation, or during repetitive hand work and sport that puts regular load on the wrist. Its role is not to block the hand completely, but to help keep the wrist in a steadier position while the surrounding tissues are not overloaded.
Key components
- Rigid stiffeners limit excessive bending forward, backward and sideways, reducing mechanical load on ligaments, tendons and small wrist structures.
- Adjustable Velcro fastening allows precise pressure adjustment as swelling and fit needs vary during the day.
- Soft inner lining makes the brace comfortable for longer wear during work, light activity or after cast removal.
When it is chosen
The brace is suitable for people who want more stability during keyboard work, lifting, household tasks, training, or a gradual return to hand‑intensive activity. It can also be useful when the wrist feels vulnerable during repeated motion and needs controlled restriction rather than a fully rigid splint.
Important considerations
The stepless closure lets you adjust the pressure throughout the day. Size 2 is generally intended for smaller to medium wrist circumferences, and the universal design adapts to the individual shape of the hand and distal forearm. If the brace feels too tight, causes numbness, rubbing or increased pain, it should be removed and the fit reassessed. Do not use it over damaged or irritated skin. If you have a diagnosed injury, significant swelling, or persistent symptoms, it is wise to ask a healthcare professional which type of fixation is appropriate.
