The Modum Classic Toothbrush is a reliable, everyday manual toothbrush in the well-established Modum Classic design. The handle features a two-component construction with rubberised anti-slip inserts moulded into the grip area, ensuring a secure and comfortable hold throughout the brushing motion — including when the brush is wet.
The bristle head is fitted with high-quality PA 6.12 synthetic filaments in medium hardness, widely regarded as the appropriate hardness level for most adult users performing routine oral hygiene. PA 6.12 (polyamide 6.12) bristle material is known for its combination of cleaning performance, resilience, and consistent feel over the bristle lifespan. The bristle tips are individually rounded and polished to minimise gum-line abrasion and enable effective plaque removal including in interdental spaces and around the gum line. The Classic model is a straightforward, dependable choice for daily dental care.

What This Toothbrush Is
Modum Classic Toothbrush medium hardness is a straightforward manual toothbrush for adults who want effective plaque removal without an overly stiff brushing feel. Medium bristles offer a balanced option: firm enough to clean thoroughly, yet still suitable for the gum line when used with light pressure.
Key Features
- PA 6.12 synthetic filaments — a polyamide that keeps its shape well and gives a consistent brushing feel over time, helping sweep away plaque from the tooth surface and along the gum line.
- Rounded and polished bristle tips — smoother ends glide more gently over enamel and the gum margin compared to sharp-cut bristles.
- Two-component handle with anti-slip rubber inserts — provides a steadier grip in a wet bathroom setting, making it easier to control pressure and angle when reaching front teeth, chewing surfaces, and back molars.
Who It Suits
This toothbrush is designed for adults looking for a classic manual option for morning and evening oral hygiene, whether you prefer circular brushing motions or short sweeping strokes. It is often chosen by those who find soft brushes too mild but do not want a hard brush that may feel rougher on the gums.
Important Notes
- If your gums are very sensitive, you tend to brush aggressively, or you have been advised to use a softer toothbrush after dental work, check with your dentist which bristle firmness is more appropriate for you.
- Replace the brush when the bristles begin to spread, as worn filaments clean less evenly and can be less gentle on the gum line.

Customer Questions
The Modum Classic toothbrush features medium-hardness bristles designed to offer a balanced approach to oral hygiene. The PA 6.12 synthetic filaments are firm enough to effectively sweep away plaque from tooth surfaces and along the gum line, yet they are engineered to be less abrasive than hard-bristled options. The bristle tips are both rounded and polished, which allows them to glide more gently over enamel and the gum margin compared to sharp-cut bristles, reducing the risk of irritation during normal use.
The durability and performance of the Modum Classic toothbrush are largely defined by its material choices. The bristles are made from PA 6.12, a type of polyamide synthetic filament. This material is selected for its ability to keep its shape well over time, providing a consistent brushing feel. Unlike some materials that may fray or lose stiffness quickly, PA 6.12 helps maintain the brush's effectiveness in sweeping away plaque from the tooth surface and along the gum line throughout its usable life.
