The main difference is the texture and the way the oils are distributed. A classic hand cream often contains larger oil droplets that sit on the skin surface, which is why it can feel greasy for a while after application. This gel-cream uses micro-oils, which are very small oil droplets that spread evenly over the skin. That helps the product feel lighter and absorb faster while still providing a smoothing effect from hydrolysed silk proteins. The silk proteins form a light layer on the skin, which is what gives the "silky" after-feel the product is named for.
Use a small amount, about the size of a pea or a little more depending on your hand size. Apply it to clean, dry hands and massage it into the backs of your hands, palms, between your fingers, and around your nails. The gel-cream texture spreads easily, so you do not need to rub for a long time. It absorbs quickly, which makes it convenient when you need to get back to work or do something else right after applying.
This product is not suitable for vegans because it contains hydrolysed silk proteins. Silk proteins are derived from silk, so the formula is not plant-based. If you follow a vegan lifestyle, you will need to choose a hand cream without silk-derived ingredients.
