Sustavit Comfrey with Gyurza Viper Venom Gel-Balsam is a cosmetic body gel-balsam from the KorolevFarm Sustavit range, formulated with comfrey (Symphytum officinale) aqueous extract combined with Gyurza (Levantine viper, Macrovipera lebetina) venom extract and Bryonia alba (Adam's root) extract. The Gyurza viper venom extract is used as a cosmetic warming and counter-irritant topical active ingredient at low cosmetic concentrations, providing an intense locally warming and penetrating sensory effect on the skin. Comfrey root extract provides allantoin and mucilage polysaccharides. Bryonia alba root extract is a traditional warming botanical active. The formula also includes an anti-inflammatory biostimulatory complex containing sunflower oil, propolis extract (bee resin) and other botanical actives, along with eucalyptus, boswellia and St. John's wort extracts.

Contains viper venom extract and propolis (bee resin) — allergy risk.

125 ml. For external cosmetic use.

NET QUANTITY: 125 ml

Customer Questions
What does the Gyurza viper venom actually do in this gel, and is it safe to have on the skin?
In this gel-balsam, Gyurza viper venom extract is included at a cosmetic concentration and works as a counter-irritant. That means it stimulates the surface of the skin, which the body perceives as an intensive, "deep-reaching" warmth. This sensation pairs well with massage of stiff or overworked areas — the warming and the rubbing together are what most people are looking for from this type of product. It is important to understand what this is not: the venom extract does not act like an injected venom and the product is not a medicine. It does not treat joints or muscles; it is a topical cosmetic that creates a warming, massaging experience on intact skin.Regarding safety, two points matter most:Patch test first. Because the formula contains both viper venom extract and propolis (a bee product), either of which can trigger allergy in susceptible people, apply a small amount to the inner forearm and wait 24 hours before using it on larger areas.Intact skin only. It is for external use and must not go on broken, damaged or already irritated skin, where the counter-irritant effect would be unpleasant and unnecessary. If you know you react to bee products, snake venom–derived ingredients, or strong warming gels in general, choose a different product rather than testing your luck with this one.
How do I apply it correctly, and how strong is the warming sensation?
The warming effect of this gel-balsam may be quite noticeable, so the sensible approach is to start small and build up only if you find the sensation comfortable.Use a modest amount at first. A thin layer over the target area — knee, shoulder, lower back, neck, calf or forearm — is enough to judge how your skin responds. More product generally means more intense warmth, not better results.Massage it in. The product is designed to be worked into the skin; the rubbing itself is part of the experience, so take a minute or two rather than just smearing it on.Wash your hands thoroughly afterwards. This is essential with any warming gel — residue transferred to the eyes, nose, mouth or other sensitive areas is genuinely unpleasant. Avoid touching your face until your hands are clean.A few practical points people often learn the hard way with warming products:Do not apply it to freshly shaved skin, right after a hot shower or sauna, or under tight occlusive clothing or bandages — all of these intensify the sensation considerably.Do not add external heat (heating pad, hot water bottle) on top of the treated area.If the warmth becomes uncomfortable, wipe off the excess with a dry cloth and then with an oil or greasy cream — plain water can briefly make the sensation feel stronger, not weaker.Use it with particular caution on sensitive skin, and keep it away from mucous membranes and the eye area entirely.
When is the best time to use it — before exercise or after?
Both timings make sense, and which you choose depends on what you want from it.Before movement: many people use warming gels of this type as part of preparing the body for activity — massaging it into muscles and around joints before a workout, a long walk, or physically demanding work such as gardening. The warming sensation combined with a few minutes of hands-on massage helps the area feel less stiff going into the effort. Note that this complements, but does not replace, an actual physical warm-up.After strain: the other common use is an evening self-massage when the body feels loaded — after sport, long hours at a desk, repetitive motion, or a day of heavy tasks. Here the routine is typically a slower, more thorough massage of the areas that feel heavy or overworked, such as the neck and shoulders after desk work or the calves and knees after being on your feet.A few timing-related cautions: avoid applying it immediately before a hot shower, bath or sauna, since heat and water contact will amplify the warming sensation on skin that already carries the product. If you use it in the evening, apply it early enough that it has been massaged in and your hands washed well before bed. And whichever timing you choose, keep it off broken or irritated skin and stick to a small amount until you know how your skin reacts.
What are comfrey, propolis and the other botanicals doing in the formula alongside the venom extract?
The formula pairs the counter-irritant with a set of botanical and bee-derived ingredients that each play a different cosmetic role:Comfrey extract contributes allantoin and plant mucilage — ingredients valued in skin care for their soothing, softening and conditioning effect. In a strongly warming product, this helps the skin feel cared for rather than just stimulated.Bryonia alba (Adam's root) has a long tradition in warming rubs used on the body after strain and exposure to cold, so it fits the product's core purpose.Propolis, a bee-derived resin, is traditionally used in balms for its rich composition and the protective feel it leaves on the skin. Keep in mind it is also a known allergen for people sensitive to bee products — one reason a patch test matters here.Eucalyptus adds a fresh, stimulating note to the overall sensation and scent.Boswellia and St. John's wort are botanicals commonly included in massage gels aimed at mobility and ease of movement. The key thing to understand is that these components work together as a cosmetic composition: they shape the warming, massaging skin experience, not a medicinal effect. The product is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any condition, and if you have a chronic condition or are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is sensible to check with a specialist before adding strong warming topicals to your routine.

What it is

KorolevFarm SUSTAVIT Varemerohi Gyurza Mürgiga Kehageel-Palsam Liigestele ja Lihastele is a warming body gel-balsam for areas that feel stiff, overworked or heavy after exercise, long hours at a desk, gardening or physically demanding tasks. People usually choose this type of product when they want a strong local warming sensation together with massage, especially for joints and muscles.

Key components

Its action comes from a combination of topical actives with different roles:

  • Gyurza viper venom extract — used here in cosmetic concentration as a counter-irritant: it stimulates the skin surface and creates an intensive warming, “deep-reaching” feel that pairs well with rubbing the product into tense areas.
  • Comfrey extract — brings allantoin and plant mucilage, ingredients valued in skin products for their soothing, softening and conditioning properties.
  • Bryonia alba (Adam’s root) — has a long tradition in warming rubs used on the body after strain and exposure to cold.
  • Botanical-propolis complex — propolis is a bee-derived resin traditionally used in balms because of its rich composition and protective feel on the skin.
  • Eucalyptus — adds a fresh, stimulating note.
  • Boswellia and St. John’s wort — well-known botanical ingredients often included in massage gels aimed at mobility and ease of movement.

Together, these components do not work like a medicine; instead, they create a warming, massaging cosmetic experience that many people like to use before movement or after a long day.

When people choose it

This gel-balsam suits adults who want a topical product for massage of the knees, shoulders, back, neck, calves or forearms. It can fit into an active lifestyle, recovery after sport, or an evening self-massage when the body feels loaded from repetitive motion. Because the warming effect may be quite noticeable, start with a small amount to see how your skin reacts.

Cautions and important notes

  • Use with caution on sensitive skin.
  • This cosmetic is for external use only and should not be applied to broken or irritated skin.
  • A patch test before first use is especially important here, as the formula contains Gyurza viper venom extract and propolis, both of which may trigger allergy in susceptible people.
  • If you are sensitive to bee products, snake venom-related ingredients, or strong warming gels, it is better to avoid this product.
