Medikomed Red Pepper Phyto Stem Cells Cosmetic Gel is a cosmetic face gel formulated with plant-derived phytostem cell extract from red pepper (Capsicum annuum) as the principal active ingredient, alongside a botanical growth factor complex. Plant stem cell (phytostem cell) extracts from Capsicum annuum are cosmetic active ingredients produced from dedifferentiated plant stem cells of the red pepper plant; they are used in anti-ageing cosmetics for their content of plant-specific growth factors, peptides and antioxidants that are believed to support the skin's own cellular renewal processes. The formula additionally contains plant-derived growth factor peptides (similar to phytoestrogen and growth-signalling compounds) described as fibronectin-stimulating actives, along with botanical antioxidants for protection of the skin surface from oxidative environmental stress. The lightweight cosmetic gel is designed for daily use as an intensive skin care treatment on the face.
