This gel contains Capsicum annuum (red pepper) phyto stem cell extract, which is valued in anti-ageing skincare for its antioxidant and energizing properties, but it can also produce a noticeable warming or tingling sensation on the skin. For most people, this is mild and temporary, but if your skin is reactive, sensitive to capsaicin, or prone to redness, there is a higher risk of discomfort or irritation.
Before using the gel on your face, patch-test on a small area — such as the inside of your wrist or behind your ear — and wait 24 hours to see if any redness, itching or burning appears. If the patch test is fine, apply a small amount to one area of your face (such as the cheek) and monitor your skin's response over a day or two before using the product more widely. Always avoid the eye area, as the skin there is especially delicate.
If you experience strong irritation, persistent redness, or discomfort that does not fade within a few minutes, stop use immediately. Sensitive skin may tolerate the gel better if you start by using it once every other day, or by mixing a small amount with your regular moisturizer to dilute the active effect. If you have a diagnosed skin condition such as rosacea, eczema or dermatitis, consult a dermatologist before introducing a product with a stimulating ingredient like red pepper extract.
