The product is made of high-quality neoprene, ensuring maximum comfort during use. Thanks to the adjustable support stays, knee joint stabilization is achieved. Additional straps provide the necessary level of compression and fixation, reducing pain.
Effect:
- Limited fixation of the knee joint, light compression, and prevention of ligament and muscle injuries during sports activities.
- Support stays allow the joint to move only in one plane (forward-backward), preventing lateral movement.
- Prevention of joint and muscle injuries during sports and physical exertion.
- Rehabilitation period after a cast.
- For dislocations associated with frontal instability.
Composition: Two-layer neoprene, two support stays.
Typical use:
- Prevention of various knee joint injuries and support for post-surgery recovery.
- Provides uniform compression support to the joint and ligaments.
- Support stays allow movement in one plane (forward-backward), restricting lateral movement.
What it is
Toros Põlvetugi suurus 1 (ribidega) is a neoprene knee support designed for people who want steadier movement during physical activity or extra stability while returning to usual movement after strain. This type of orthopedic brace is often chosen when the knee feels vulnerable during:
- walking
- exercise
- training
- periods of higher load
Its role is not to immobilize the leg completely, but to help the joint move in a more controlled way.
Key components
The main working elements are:
- Elastic neoprene base – creates light, even compression around the knee area, which helps the brace sit securely and gives a more stable feeling during movement.
- Side support stays – help guide the joint mainly in a forward-backward direction and reduce unwanted side-to-side motion. This can be especially useful when the knee needs more confidence during bends, steps, or repeated activity.
- Additional straps – let you adjust the fit more precisely, so the fixation can be adapted to the situation rather than feeling loose or overly tight.
When people choose it
This knee brace is suitable for scenarios where a person wants reinforcement without switching to a rigid orthosis, such as:
- during sports with repeated knee loading
- after a period of reduced activity
- when the joint needs a more secure feel after external immobilization has been removed
The ribbed construction adds structure, so the brace helps hold its shape while worn.
Who it is for and important notes
This kind of knee brace is usually chosen by:
- active people
- those doing fitness or recreational sports
- anyone who wants more reliable fixation during physical effort
It may also fit into a recovery plan when a specialist has recommended controlled stabilization rather than full restriction. For the best result, the size and tension should feel snug but not restrictive.
It is wise to ask a doctor or physiotherapist which level of fixation is appropriate for you if:
- there is marked swelling
- strong pain
- recent trauma
- you are recovering after surgery
