Composition: natural orange essential oil (Citrus sinensis).
AROMASaules Natural Essential Oil ORANGE 10 ml by Saules Sapnis is a citrus essential oil often chosen for its bright, cheerful aroma and its versatile use in home aromatherapy and body rituals. Orange oil is valued when you want the room to feel lighter and more welcoming, or when you prefer warm, sweet citrus notes in a bath, massage blend or aroma lamp.
Key components
The main active compounds in orange essential oil are naturally occurring aromatic molecules, especially limonene. This component gives orange peel its characteristic scent and explains why the oil feels fresh, uplifting and gently purifying in the air. It comes from the fragrant outer part of the orange peel, where the volatile plant compounds are naturally concentrated. Compared with heavier resinous or spicy oils, orange essential oil has a softer, more approachable profile, so it is often a good starting point for people who are only beginning to explore эфирные масла and aromatherapy.
When people choose it
In aromatherapy, orange essential oil is often reached for in different everyday moments:
- During periods of tension, mental fatigue or low mood, because a familiar citrus fragrance can help create a calmer emotional background and a more positive atmosphere.
- In body blends, where it is appreciated for leaving the skin feeling softer and smoother when properly diluted in a carrier oil or cream.
- Alongside relaxing evening rituals, a warming bath, or a massage blend used on areas where the skin can benefit from improved tone and a more supple feel.
Who it suits
This cosmetic essential oil is suitable for adults who enjoy home fragrance rituals, self-massage, or adding a citrus note to bath time. It may also appeal to those who prefer lively, sunny scents over floral or herbal ones. For skin use, essential oils should always be diluted, as concentrated citrus oils can be irritating if applied directly.
Important notes
A soft caution: orange essential oil is potent even though the scent feels gentle. Please keep the following in mind:
- Use only in small amounts, and avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
- Do not apply undiluted to the skin.
- Citrus oils may increase sensitivity to sunlight, so it is wise to avoid direct sun exposure on treated areas afterward.
- If you are pregnant, using it for a child, or have very sensitive skin, get individual advice before use.

Customer Questions
This essential oil, derived from the peel, is primarily used for its bright and cheerful scent in aromatherapy and for topical application when properly diluted. In an aroma diffuser or lamp, its main compound, limonene, helps create a light, welcoming atmosphere, which people often choose during moments of mental fatigue or to lift the mood. For the body, it can be added in small amounts to a carrier oil, lotion, or bathwater to leave skin feeling softer and smoother; it's appreciated in self-massage or evening bath rituals for this effect. It is a softer, more approachable oil, making it a common starting point for exploring aromatherapy. Remember, for any skin use, it must be diluted in a carrier substance as concentrated citrus oil can be irritating, and it may increase sun sensitivity on treated areas.
Yes, orange essential oil is often recommended as a good starting point. Its profile is softer and more approachable compared to heavier resinous or spicy oils, and its familiar, sunny citrus scent is generally well-liked and not overpowering. This makes it easier to integrate into simple routines like using a few drops in a diffuser for room fragrance or adding a single drop to a bath. As a beginner, it's crucial to learn two fundamental practices: always dilute it in a carrier oil or unscented base before applying to skin to avoid irritation, and be aware that citrus oils can make skin more sensitive to sunlight. Starting with a versatile oil like this allows you to safely practice these core usage and safety steps.
Safe dilution is essential. For massage blends, a common starting guideline is to add 1-2 drops of essential oil per teaspoon (approximately 5 ml) of a carrier oil like jojoba, sweet almond, or coconut oil. For a full-body bath, you can mix 3-5 drops with a tablespoon of a dispersant like full-fat milk, honey, or a neutral bath gel before adding to the water; this helps the oil blend instead of floating on the surface. These are general starting points; the appropriate amount can vary based on individual skin sensitivity and the carrier used. Never apply the oil directly to your skin. After using it topically, avoid direct sun exposure on the treated areas for 12-24 hours due to potential phototoxicity. If you have very sensitive skin, are pregnant, or are using it for a child, seek individual advice first.
