The Lyapko "Magic Ribbon Health" 4.3 Ag Set (1+2, 5-Segment) by Lyapko (Ukraine) is a set of two elastic needle applicator ribbons designed for surface acupuncture self-massage. The ribbons are manufactured from a medical-grade elastic rubber substrate, into which multi-metal needles are firmly embedded; each needle is manufactured from a blend of five biologically important metals: zinc, copper, iron, nickel and silver. The alternating contact of these metals with the skin creates localised micro-galvanic effects that are believed to stimulate surface acupuncture points and promote local circulation.
The set contains two ribbons of different widths: Ribbon 1 (22 mm wide): 3.1 m with bandage rubber + 2.2 m without bandage rubber. Ribbon 2 (44 mm wide): 3.1 m with bandage rubber + 2.2 m without bandage rubber. Each ribbon consists of 5 segments (each approximately 44 cm). The bandage-rubber portion (without needles) provides soft fixation of the ribbon to the body. Total needle count: 7,650. Needle spacing: 4.3 mm.
