The card says nothing about replacing exercises. According to the English description, the posture corrector provides only mechanical postural support and is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or treatment; according to the manufacturer's description, it is used for posture correction, semi-rigid fixation of the spine, correction of the position of the shoulders and in the recovery period after injuries and operations of the thoracic and upper lumbar spine or the clavicle, and it can be adjusted individually during the day.
General information (not a manufacturer's claim): a stable posture depends on the tone of the muscles of the back, the shoulder girdle and the core, and these develop through movement and exercise; therefore it is sensible to regard the corrector as a complement to physical activity and to the supervision of a specialist (an orthopaedist, a physiotherapist, a rehabilitation doctor) rather than as a stand-alone solution; this is especially important in case of marked posture disorders and in the recovery period. The corrector should be used on a doctor's recommendation.
