Does the balsam replace vitamins or a balanced diet?

The balsam should be regarded as a food supplement and a food syrup rather than as a stand-alone remedy. It contains sugar, dry extracts of bilberry, rosehip, ginger, mint and thyme, collagen and vitamin C — and it can be part of your daily diet, but it does not replace a varied diet that includes vegetables, fruit, sources of protein and other foods.

The syrup format is convenient because it is easy to add to a drink or dessert, but convenience does not make the supplement the equivalent of a complete menu. If you are already taking multivitamins or other supplements, it makes sense to consider the overall set of ingredients so as not to duplicate the same substances unnecessarily — this is a question best discussed with a specialist.

Finally, the supplement does not cancel out the basic habits that affect how your eyes feel under heavy strain: breaks from screen work, adequate lighting and a regular sleep pattern. The balsam is best seen as one addition to such a routine, not as a replacement for it.
