Will this corrector force my back straight or replace posture exercises?

The LAUMA 301 does not rigidly force the spine into position. It is an orthopaedic textile band with a figure-of-eight construction at the back, designed to apply light elastic traction across the shoulder blades. This pull gives your body a mechanical cue when the shoulders start to roll forward, so you can consciously correct your position.

This distinction is important: the product is meant to support proprioception, which is the body’s sense of its own position. When worn regularly for short, appropriate periods, it can help you notice slouching during desk work, studying, driving or similar activities. The muscles between the shoulder blades still need to do their own work; the corrector should not be treated as something that holds you up passively all day.

For best results, use it alongside ordinary posture habits: take breaks from sitting, adjust screen height, keep frequently used items close enough that you do not reach forward constantly, and include gentle upper-back and shoulder mobility or strengthening exercises if appropriate for you. If wearing the corrector makes you tense your neck, lift your shoulders or brace your lower back, reduce the wearing time or adjust the fit. It should help you feel where a more upright position is, not create a new source of strain.
