Why is there sediment or cloudiness in the bottle?

A light sediment at the bottom of the bottle, or a slight cloudiness, is normal for this type of oil. Because the oil is cold-pressed and unrefined, it retains natural components from the plant, and some of these can settle over time. This is not a sign of spoilage or a quality issue — it is a characteristic of minimally processed seed oils. The sediment may appear as a small layer at the bottom or as a subtle haze throughout the oil. Gently shake the bottle before each use to redistribute it, and store the bottle upright. If the oil develops a noticeably off smell or taste, that is a different matter and a reason to stop using it, but a small amount of sediment by itself is nothing to worry about.
