The product is designed for regular daytime use. The most effective pattern is a thin layer after each hand wash — this replaces the lipids and moisture that soap and water remove. Before heading outside in windy or sub-zero conditions, a slightly thicker layer creates a temporary barrier that slows moisture loss. An evening application lets the humectant work overnight without immediate rinsing. You do not need a large amount; a pea-sized blob for both hands is usually enough. If you wash your hands 8–10 times a day, applying after each wash means 8–10 small applications, which is more effective than one heavy coat in the morning. Keep the tube at the sink, in your bag, and on the nightstand so the habit is frictionless. If the skin feels sticky, you are using too much; wipe the excess rather than skipping the next application.
