Patch test: Mix a small amount of product and apply behind the ear or on the inner forearm. Wait 48 hours. If redness, itching, swelling, or irritation occurs, do not use the product on your hair.
Preparation: Wash hair with a gentle shampoo (no conditioner) and towel-dry until damp, not dripping. Wear the gloves provided — direct dyes stain skin and nails.
Application: Distribute evenly from roots to ends using a brush or gloved fingers. For more intense results on porous ends, apply there first, then work toward the roots.
Processing time: Follow the minutes stated on the packaging. Do not exceed it; longer time does not equal deeper colour and may increase staining on the scalp.
Rinsing: Rinse with cool or lukewarm water until it runs clear. Skip shampoo for this first rinse; a light conditioner is fine if needed.
Special caution: If your hair is very porous, freshly bleached, or sensitive after other chemical services, the colour may grab unevenly or more intensely. Consider a shorter processing time or a strand test on a hidden section first.
