Bond Re-Plex is an amino acid complex included in the formula to help reduce breakage and improve hair resilience during the permanent coloring process. When you apply permanent dye, the cuticle opens so color molecules can settle inside the hair strand, which can leave hair feeling rougher or more fragile. This technology aims to counteract that by supporting the hair's internal structure as it undergoes the chemical change.
It is important to have realistic expectations: this is a coloring product with a conditioning benefit, not a stand-alone hair treatment. For hair that is already very porous, heavily lightened, or sensitive from repeated chemical processing, the Bond Re-Plex can help, but it will not fundamentally "repair" or "restructure" severely compromised hair. The goal is to leave your hair feeling stronger and more flexible after the rinse-out compared to a formula without such support. If your hair is in delicate condition, extra caution and perhaps a separate, dedicated conditioning treatment after coloring are advisable.
