SHAGUN GOLD is a powder made from finely milled Lawsonia inermis leaves, so the colour comes from henna pigment released when the powder is mixed into a paste. It works differently from oxidative hair dye: it does not first strip or lift your natural colour. Instead, the pigment binds mainly to the outer layer of the hair shaft and creates a translucent warm veil.
This means the result is influenced by your starting shade. On lighter hair, henna usually appears more visible and warmer; on darker hair, it may show more as a subtle reddish or coppery reflection, especially in bright light. Porous, dry, bleached or previously coloured hair can take up pigment unevenly, which is why a strand test is especially important before applying it to the whole head.
Processing time also matters: leaving the paste on for longer typically gives a stronger visible tone, but the exact result cannot be predicted from the packet alone. Henna is best chosen if you want warm-tone enhancement, added shine and a fuller-looking finish, not if you need a cool blonde, ash brown, black result or reliable grey coverage identical to permanent dye.
