Tar oil and sodium shale oil sulfonate are ingredients with a long history of use in products for rough and irritation-prone areas. They are valued for their pronounced action, but in some people they can cause an individual reaction, especially at first use or on sensitive skin.
Salicylic acid in the composition works as a mild keratolytic: it helps to exfoliate thick scales and even out the texture. This is a useful property, but it also means that the product is not intended for application to large areas of the body at once, to damaged or inflamed skin, or near the eyes and mucous membranes.
Before the first use, it is recommended to apply a small amount of the balm to a limited area and wait a few hours, which allows you to assess your individual reaction. If marked burning, redness or discomfort appears, use should be stopped.
Because of the salicylic acid, the balm is not intended for children under 3 years. The composition includes fish oil, lanolin and copaiba resin (Copaifera Officinalis), so in the case of an allergy to fish, lanolin or plant resins it is better to avoid using it. In pregnancy, breastfeeding, chronic skin conditions or the simultaneous use of other products with active ingredients, consult a specialist before use. The product is not intended for the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of diseases.
