The 1L bottle is large — how should I store it and keep the oil in good condition?

A 1 litre bottle will stay with you for many sessions, so good storage prevents the oil from changing in smell, texture, or feel before you finish it. Plant-oil-based cosmetics do not last forever, especially once opened, but a few simple habits keep it fresh longer.

Keep the bottle tightly closed after every use. Exposure to air speeds up oxidation, which is what makes oils smell rancid over time. Store it in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources like radiators, windowsills, or warm bathrooms. A kitchen cabinet or bedroom shelf at room temperature is usually fine.

Pour the amount you need into your hand or a small dish. Do not dip fingers into the bottle, and do not pour oil back from your hand, a bowl, or a massage table back into the bottle. Water, soap, or dirt from the outside can contaminate the whole litre.

If you mix this warming oil with a neutral oil for a milder effect, mix only a small portion at a time in a separate clean container. Leaving a diluted mixture in the original 1L bottle changes its consistency and makes it harder to control how strong each session will feel.

There is no fixed number for how long the product stays good after opening, because that depends on storage conditions. The practical check is sensory: if the oil develops an off smell, becomes sticky, or looks separated in an unusual way, it is better to stop using it. This is common sense for oil-based cosmetics, not a claim about this specific formula.
