Is this gel-balm suitable for bruises and sprains, or only after workouts?

The gel-balm is designed for a wider range of situations than just recovery after sport. The formula contains arnica, a plant ingredient traditionally included in formulas for a tendency to swelling and marks after bruises. Marsh cinquefoil, in turn, is used in body balms when the tissues need help recovering after strain and discomfort in the problem area needs easing.

So the product can be applied locally to everyday bruises or after a sprained ligament, in cases where the skin is intact. The gel must not be applied to damaged skin, grazes or open wounds.

It is important to understand that this is a cosmetic product, not a medicine. With serious injuries (a severe sprain, a suspected torn ligament or a fracture) a doctor's consultation is necessary, and the gel does not replace medical care. For minor everyday bruises where the skin is intact, its use is entirely justified as part of home care.
