Which areas should this plaster not be applied to?

Salicylic acid is an active keratolytic, which is exactly why the OLKO SALIPOD plaster is intended strictly for areas with a dense keratinised layer: dry corns and calluses. On healthy or thin skin it may cause irritation, burning or damage.

Do not apply the plaster to:

• damaged skin: cuts, cracks, grazes, open wounds;
• inflamed or irritated areas: red, itchy or weeping skin;
• sensitive areas: the spaces between the toes, the thin skin around the corn;
• moles, warts or growths of any kind.

It is also worth bearing in mind that the plaster is not intended for children without a specialist's advice, and people with diabetes or peripheral circulation disorders are advised to consult a doctor before using any keratolytic products, as the skin on their feet may be less sensitive, making it harder to assess the reaction.

If severe burning, redness or discomfort occurs during use, the plaster is removed and, if necessary, a specialist is consulted.
