As a carotenoid, astaxanthin fits well into antioxidant regimens. In practice it is often combined with omega-3 fatty acids. Both nutrients are fat-soluble, and they are convenient to take together with a meal containing fat. Omega-3s perform their own role and do not compete with astaxanthin for absorption.
Vitamin E is also a fat-soluble antioxidant, and it is often included in regimens together with carotenoids. Balance matters here: if you already get vitamin E from a multivitamin complex, an additional source may create an excess. Therefore, when putting together a complex of several supplements, it is worth adding up the doses of each nutrient.
Vitamin C is water-soluble and works in a different environment, so it does not compete with astaxanthin directly. Taking them together is common in antioxidant regimens, and from the point of view of compatibility this is a standard combination.
The main practical advice: if you are assembling a complex of three or more supplements, especially fat-soluble ones, consult a specialist. Not because astaxanthin is dangerous in combinations, but because the total doses of some nutrients (for example, vitamin A from different sources) can unintentionally exceed recommended levels. This is a general rule for any antioxidant complex, not a feature of this particular product.
