Can this oil be used both in food and on the skin — or is it better to buy two separate products?

Original Altay apricot kernel oil is a first cold-pressed oil which, according to the description, is used both in cooking and in cosmetic care: to moisturise the skin of the face and body and to strengthen hair and give it shine.

If you plan to use one bottle for both purposes, the main thing is to avoid contaminating the product. In practice this means:

• not touching the neck of the bottle or the cap with hands you have just used to apply oil to your skin;
• pouring the amount you need into a separate container rather than dipping your fingers straight into the bottle;
• storing the oil at +23 ± 2 °C in a dry place protected from sunlight and closing it tightly after each use — this slows down oxidation.

The 100 ml size is convenient precisely because it lets you try both uses without using up much oil: you will find out whether you like the taste in dishes and the feel on your skin before buying a larger size.
