Cold-pressed milk thistle oil is added to ready-made dishes – this is a key point. Unrefined cold-pressed oils contain polyunsaturated fatty acids and other compounds that break down when heated and may form undesirable oxidation products. For this reason, frying with such an oil is not recommended.
Suitable ways to use it:
- Salads – as a dressing instead of or together with other vegetable oils;
- Porridge and pasta – added to the already cooked dish before serving;
- Cold sauces and marinades – wherever the oil is not heated;
- Smoothies or other cold drinks – if you want to include the oil in your diet in liquid form.
The neutral taste and aroma of this oil make it easy to fit into your usual menu: it does not overpower the flavour of the dish, unlike oils with a pronounced nutty or herbal profile.
