Can these gummies be given to children, and from what age?

The label does not state from what age the gummies are suitable and gives no separate dosage for children: the recommended daily dose is 1–2 gummies (about 10–20 µg of vitamin D3). The raspberry flavour and chewable form are convenient, but each gummy contains a specific amount of vitamin D3, and children of different ages need different amounts of vitamin D per day.

Before giving the supplement to a child, it is worth checking the right amount with a paediatrician — especially if the child is already taking children's multivitamins or other formulas that contain vitamin D. The total daily intake of vitamin D from all sources should not exceed the level recommended for the child's age.

It is also important to keep the gummies out of the reach of children and to explain to your child that they are not ordinary sweets: because of their appealing taste, there is a risk of eating more than needed.
