Although both plants — valerian and motherwort — have long been used in the European herbal tradition and are perceived as gentle, their use calls for caution in some people.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding. During these periods, any herbal products, including sedative herbs, should be discussed with a doctor before use — even if the product seems harmless.
- Taking sedatives or sleeping pills. Valerian and motherwort affect relaxation processes in the nervous system, so combining them with medicines that have a similar action must be agreed with a specialist to avoid the effects adding up.
- Chronic conditions. With any diagnosed condition, especially one related to the cardiovascular or nervous system, consult your doctor before drinking the herbal infusion regularly.
- Hypersensitivity to sedative plants. The infusion is not drunk in case of individual intolerance to valerian or motherwort, and if an allergic reaction occurs, stop taking it and see a doctor.
This product is a plant raw material for a homemade infusion, not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease.
