Magnesium with B6 is usually taken with a meal or straight after it — this reduces the likelihood of stomach discomfort, which sometimes occurs when mineral supplements are taken on an empty stomach. Magnesium carbonate in particular is better absorbed in the acidic environment that food creates in the stomach.
As for the time of day, there is no strict rule, but there are practical considerations. Many people prefer to take magnesium in the evening, as it is associated with muscle relaxation and a calmer state of the nervous system before sleep. Others split the daily dose into two — morning and evening — to maintain a more even level of the mineral throughout the day. Both approaches are common.
The vitamin B6 in the composition combines well with other B vitamins if you take them at the same time. Bear in mind, however, that high doses of B6 from several sources at once can accumulate — so if you are already taking a complex with B6, it makes sense to add up the doses.
According to the label, adults take 1–2 tablets a day; it is best to check the details of the regimen with a specialist, especially if you take other medicines on a regular basis.
