When and how is SAMAHAN best drunk?

The sachet format is designed for quick preparation: the contents of the sachet are dissolved in hot water — no steeping or straining is needed. This makes the drink convenient when travelling, at work or at home in the evening.

A few typical situations in which people choose it:

  • Cold or damp weather — the warming effect of ginger and pepper is felt fairly quickly.
  • After a hearty meal — coriander and cumin are traditionally used in exactly this context; SAMAHAN can replace the usual sweet drink after a meal.
  • When overtired or travelling — a spicy hot drink helps you switch off and warm up without caffeine.
  • As an alternative to ordinary tea — for those who want to vary their routine and try something with a more pronounced taste.

The ideal water temperature is hot, but not boiling straight from the kettle: let it cool a little so as not to destroy the aroma of the spices. The amount of water can be varied to taste: less water makes the drink richer, more makes it milder.
