Which components of MIRROLLA support its action? — Sodium picosulfate 7.5 mg/1 ml, 25 ml - MIRROLLA

According to the composition on the card: water, sorbitol, potassium chloride, citric acid, magnesium lactate, sodium citrate, L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C), methyl parahydroxybenzoate (nipagin, E218) and sodium picosulfate 7.5 mg/1 ml. The daily dose contains vitamin C — 18–36 mg. The card calls the product an additional source of vitamin C that contains potassium and magnesium; it does not explain what role potassium, magnesium and vitamin C play in the action of the product. The action of sodium picosulfate itself is described as follows: after being broken down in the large intestine it increases peristalsis, stimulates the mucous membrane of the large intestine and promotes the accumulation of electrolytes and water.

General information (not a manufacturer's instruction): sorbitol and other sugar alcohols cause bloating and discomfort in some people; the product is not used in case of allergy to the preservative or other components. The supplement does not replace a varied and balanced diet.
