How do I fit the tablets into my daily diet, and does it make sense if I sometimes eat fish? — LAMINARIA SEA CABBAGE TABLETS N100 - EVALAR (laminarija morskaja)
The main dietary sources of iodine are sea fish, seafood, seaweed and iodised salt. If all of these are regularly present in your diet (several times a week), the need for an additional source of iodine is most likely small.
Evalar Laminaria makes sense to consider first of all for people who rarely eat fish and seafood, do not use iodised salt and live far from the sea. The supplement may also be convenient when switching to a plant-based diet, when traditional sources of iodine are excluded.
If fish is on the menu, but not regularly – once every one or two weeks – the situation is unclear: everything depends on the type of fish, the way it is cooked and the overall variety of the diet. In that case it is more sensible to assess the diet as a whole before adding iodine separately.
According to the label, adults and children over 14 take 1 tablet once a day with a meal; the duration of intake is 2–3 months, and the course can be repeated 3–4 times a year. It is convenient to take the tablet at the same time every day – this helps to form a habit and reduces the chance of missing a dose. Store the product according to the conditions on the packaging, away from moisture and direct light.
The supplement does not replace a full diet and is not intended for the treatment or prevention of any diseases.
