How should guelder rose berries be brewed, and when is it best to drink the infusion? — Viburnum red fruits, 50g LekraSet (Viburnum opulus L.)

Guelder rose berries are brewed with boiling water: pour 1 glass (200 ml) of boiling water over 1 tablespoon of berries, leave to steep for 1.5–2 hours and strain. You can also lightly crush the berries before brewing — this makes the drink richer.

Drink the infusion 1/2 glass twice a day before meals. It contains no caffeine, so drinking it in the evening is fine too; in cold weather, the infusion can be drunk warm. Keep the prepared drink in a cool place for no longer than 2 days.

It is best to store the dried berries in closed packaging in a dry place away from direct sunlight — standard conditions for most dried plant products. Once the pack is opened, use the contents within a reasonable time and do not let them get damp.
