The manufacturer recommends brewing the drink like tea, and the exact preparation instructions are given on the packaging — follow them first and foremost. Below are generally accepted guidelines for fermented willowherb tea.
- Water temperature: 85–95 °C. Boiling water can make the taste harsher; slightly cooled water brings out the aroma more gently.
- Amount: about 1–2 teaspoons of the blend per 200–250 ml of water — adjust to the strength you prefer.
- Steeping time: 5–7 minutes for a rich taste, 3–4 minutes for a lighter one. The raspberry in the blend releases its aroma quickly, so a long brew is not necessary.
- Re-brewing: fermented willowherb holds up well to 2–3 infusions. When re-brewed, the taste becomes milder and less intense — this is normal.
The tea is easy to brew in a travel mug or thermos: it stays warm and keeps developing its flavour. This makes it a practical option for work or walks in cool weather.
It is best to store an opened pack in a dry place away from other odours — herbal blends easily absorb smells from their surroundings.
