LEKRASET Lavendliõied are whole dried flowers, not an extract or tea bags, so the way of preparing them differs a little from ordinary tea drinking. Preparation according to the product description: pour a glass of hot boiled water over 1 tablespoon of flowers and heat in a water bath for 15 minutes, stirring often; then cool the infusion, strain it, squeeze out the plant material and top up with boiled water to 200 ml. Take 1 tablespoon of the finished infusion 3 times a day.
A few general practical guidelines that apply to most dried flower herbs:
Water temperature. The infusion is made in a water bath from hot boiled water, as described above.
Steeping time. According to the product description, the infusion is heated for 15 minutes in a water bath with frequent stirring, then cooled and strained.
Utensils. A sieve or gauze is handy for straining: the flowers are easy to separate and do not end up in the infusion.
Quantity. The 25 g pack is intended for home use. A small amount of material per serving lets you keep it fresh and avoids wasting your supply.
Lavender infusion is traditionally drunk plain, to appreciate the pure aroma of the plant, but if you like you can combine it with honey or add other herbs such as mint or chamomile. If you are trying lavender infusion for the first time, start with a small amount and see how you tolerate it.
