How should I care for the shungite pendant so that it keeps its look? — Engraved pendants, size 50 mm. Shungite

Shungite has a high carbon content, which gives it its deep black colour and characteristic matt surface. Because of its porous structure, the stone may leave a faint dark mark when in contact with damp skin or light fabric, especially in the first period after purchase. This is a normal property of untreated or lightly polished shungite.

To keep the pendant looking its best, it is recommended to:

• wipe the pendant from time to time with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth, without abrasives;
• avoid prolonged contact with water, soap and cosmetic products, as these may gradually affect the surface of the stone;
• take the pendant off before bathing, exercising and sleeping;
• store it separately from metal jewellery to prevent scratches.

As the cord is bought separately, also keep an eye on its condition: textile and leather cords wear out faster than metal ones and need to be replaced from time to time. Do not use the product if you have increased sensitivity to its components; if an allergic reaction occurs, stop using it and consult a doctor.
