Motherwort tincture comes in liquid form: the plant's active substances are extracted with alcohol, so the product is absorbed faster than tablets or capsules. Before taking, the tincture is diluted in 1/4 glass of water — this softens the taste and reduces direct contact of the alcohol with the mucous membranes.
The tincture is taken 3–4 times a day before meals, ideally at the same times each day. Regularity matters more than occasional doses — herbal products generally have a more noticeable effect when used systematically.
Adults: 30–50 drops per dose; children from 12 years of age: 1 drop per year of age per dose. The course lasts 3–4 weeks. Do not increase the recommended amount on your own.
The tincture contains alcohol, so it is not combined with alcoholic drinks. If you take any medication — especially for cardiovascular support or with a sedative effect — it is worth consulting a specialist before starting. The product is not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, in case of sensitivity to its ingredients, or for children under 12; while taking it, refrain from driving and operating moving machinery.
