How should this gel-balm be applied, and is massage needed?

The gel-balm is applied directly to the troublesome area: the lower back, knee, shoulder, calf or another area where tension or discomfort is felt after exertion. A small amount of the product is spread over the skin and rubbed in with light massaging movements; this is important because the nettle in the formula has a local irritant action, which is enhanced precisely by mechanical action.

The essential oils of juniper, wild thyme and eucalyptus and the camphor give a warming and distracting sensation already during application, so many people use the product straight after a workout, a long walk or a day on their feet. The product does not leave a noticeable greasy feel and is absorbed fairly quickly, which is convenient if you need to apply it and get dressed straight away.

Do not apply the gel to damaged skin, open wounds or mucous membranes. If you are sensitive to essential oils or camphor, apply a small amount to a limited area of skin before first use and wait to see the reaction. The gel is not used if you have skin conditions, as this is a contraindication; if you have chronic joint conditions, consult a specialist before use.
