How should the balm be applied, and can it be used every day?

The balm is applied directly to the problem area with marked dryness, on dry, clean skin. Because of the dense texture, a small amount is enough: the product is not meant to be applied in a thin layer over large surfaces, like an ordinary lotion.

It is most convenient to use it in the evening or after contact with water and household chemicals, when the skin particularly needs its barrier restored. The dense base of petrolatum and lanolin helps to hold moisture for several hours, so application before bedtime is a common practice for such formats.

Daily use is possible, but it is better to determine the optimal frequency by the condition of the skin: if the area becomes softer and the discomfort decreases, the intensity can be reduced. The presence of salicylic acid means that with very frequent application to the same spot you should watch the reaction, since excessive exfoliation can cause a feeling of irritation.

If you use other products with active ingredients (for example retinol or acids) on the same areas, it is better not to combine them with this balm in a single application, to avoid an undesirable interaction.
