The cream-balm works more effectively if the skin has been prepared beforehand. The best moment to apply it is after a hot foot bath: the softened horny layer becomes looser and takes up the softening components better.
The steps:
Take a hot foot bath.
Dry the affected area thoroughly.
Apply the cream-balm to the spot — right on the hardened areas: corns, calluses, patches on the heels or the balls of the feet. There is no need to spread it over the whole foot.
Rub it in with gentle circular movements until absorbed.
After application you can put on cotton socks — this creates a light occlusive effect and helps the components stay in contact with the skin for longer. This trick is often used when caring for very dry and hardened areas.
Thick corns do not soften in a single application — a regular routine is needed. With systematic use the skin gradually becomes softer and less rough. A slight tingling on application is possible and is considered a normal reaction, but if the sensations get stronger or marked irritation appears, stop using it.
