How should Vitateka mustard plasters be used?

Before use, the plaster needs to be soaked in warm water: it is contact with warm water that activates the mustard powder inside the cells. The plaster is then placed on the chosen area of skin porous side down and covered with a dry towel.

The procedure usually lasts 3–10 minutes, and you should be guided by how it feels. Mustard plasters give quite intense warmth, so it is important to watch how the skin reacts from the very first minutes. If strong burning occurs, remove the plaster immediately without waiting.

After the procedure, it is recommended to wipe the skin dry and keep the area warmly wrapped, which helps to retain the warming effect. Do not go out into the cold straight after use.

The pack contains 10 plasters, which is convenient both for a course of procedures and for occasional use during the cold season. Each plaster is for single use only. Store the pack in a dry place away from moisture; otherwise the powder may be activated too early.

If your skin is sensitive or you have a chronic condition, consult a specialist before use.
